The house had survived for centuries. Then we arrived with plans.
What began as a few necessary repairs slowly became a restoration that reached into almost every part of Casa Transumanza. Floors changed purpose, walls disappeared, new ones appeared, and old spaces began another chapter.
Casa Transumanza is still being restored. There is no finished version to show yet.
The work is happening in stages, sometimes because of necessity and sometimes because one idea leads to another. Rooms are being reconsidered, walls are being opened or rebuilt, old materials are being uncovered, and parts of the house are being asked to serve new purposes without erasing what they were before.
Some decisions are obvious. Others take time.
This page is where we follow that process as it happens.
